The Keystone Paranormal Investigation Team

Brian Boughner ~ Founder and Core Investigation Team Member

I have always had an interest in the paranormal since I was a small child. In 2006, I joined a group of like-minded people in the area called Northwest Pennsylvania Hauntings (NWPAH).  With this group my interest developed into a more scientific approach to the paranormal.  Later, a close group of friends and myself decided to form our own group using audio and video technology to document and record paranormal activity eager to provide undisputable proof.

Our teams’ primary goal is to first try to provide a possible explanation of reported activity and document the activity that just cannot be debunked.  My team and I have been able to capture some very interesting audio but are still waiting to catch that elusive video proof. "It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong." (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) U.S. poet). brianb@keystoneparanormal.com

Gina Boughner ~ Core Investigation Team Member

Like my husband I have always been interested in the subject of paranormal.  I try to be objective on the subject.  I have had personal experiences that left questions in my mind. I had hoped that investigating the paranormal would answer some of these questions but found that it leaves more. I hope that our team can provide a client with the answers they need and give them comfort in validation to claims they may have. "The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and science." (Albert Einstein (1879-1955) German-Swiss-U.S. scientist). ginab@keystoneparanormal.com

Mark Banka ~ Co-founder, Core Investigation Team Member and Technical Manager

Growing up, we lived in a third floor apartment, with an empty, unused attic above. We would often hear “foot steps” coming from up there. There were other unexplained noises as well (whistling, banging, knocking, etc.).

Those childhood experiences were enough to remain with me into adulthood. And even though I never really saw anything, I remain open minded, but skeptical. The possibility is there, and my curiosity motivates me to investigate.  "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one." (Albert Einstein (1879-1955) German-Swiss-U.S. scientist).                                                                                                                  markb@keystoneparanormal.com

Sue Banka ~ Investigation Team Member and Case Manager

My husband is a fan of Ghost Hunters and got me interested in the whole idea of paranormal investigations.  I consider myself the skeptic of the group. I am the one always looking for the logical explanation for what we see, hear or feel.  I believe there might be something out there, but I need to see it for myself!  "Who questions much, shall learn much, and retain much." Ed Breese ~ EVP Specialist, Co-Founder, and Core Investigation Team Member

I have been a Paranormal Investigator for about one year. I do this because I am very skeptical and I would like to find a definite answer. I specialize in EVPs. I find it exciting when you get a class A, or even class B, EVP when there was no one there. A lot of EVPs can be explained, but what about the ones that can't? That's what I find interesting!  Learn more about EVPs on our "Interesting Facts" link. "It is the dim haze of mystery that adds enchantment to pursuit." Leo Glenn ~ Paranormal Photography Specialist, Public Relations Coordinator, and Core Investigation Team Member

A native of Clarion County, I am the son of a paranormal investigator. While most of my childhood friends were out playing baseball, I was going on ghost hunts, investigating UFO sightings and interacting with psychics, mediums, firewalkers, hypnotists, dowsers and mad scientists. These childhood experiences had two major effects: They turned me into a very weird adult; and they instilled in me a lifelong interest in all things paranormal. After many years of doing mostly normal (i.e. boring) things, I decided to return to my ghostly roots and join Keystone Paranormal's investigative team. I currently live in Polk, PA, with my wife, son, two cats and two very obstreperous dogs. leog@keystoneparanormal.com

Robb Griffin ~ Co-founder and Core Investigation Team Member

I am Skeptical but want to find any evidence that would prove to me the existence of Ghostly spirits.  I do believe in the possibility of Ghosts.  I don't know if “pure evidence” is even possible to capture, but I really enjoy trying.  "Only the unknown frightens men. But once a man has faced the unknown, that terror becomes the known." (Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900-1944) French aviator and writer). robbg@keystoneparanormal.com

W. J. Clark ~ Historical Researcher and Webmaster

Historical research is my field of expertise.  This data is essential in determining the validity of many investigations.   I have a vast amount of experience and have a wealth of historical resources available to me.  Web design is another passion of mine.  One of my first designs was for the City of Sanford Florida, Police Department.  "Reason is the historian, but passions are the actors."
